Immigration is a one-way flow of the population to a specific place or country. It is people moving from their native regions to another country to live. The main driving force for immigration is better employment opportunities or education and the desire to have a better Future. Immigration is beneficial for both receiving and sending countries.

If someone wants to migrate to another country, that person has to apply to become a legal citizen. If the person is accepted, they will receive a green card. A green card is a piece of evidence stating that the person is trying to legally stay within the country’s borders. The person must keep a green card for at least five years of income as a citizen of that particular country. Nowadays many people have decided to migrate and that can be temporary or permanent. Only people who have a green card, permanent residency status, or OCI card are allowed to travel to the destination country.

As per the population statics of 2019, Canada has welcomed almost 1 million immigrants from India. Whereas almost 28% of the UAE’s population consists of Indian natives, and the UK had about 1.4 million Indian immigrants. Similar with other countries too.

 

The proportion of immigration varies considerably from country to country, with smaller countries having larger proportions of immigration but not necessarily larger numbers.
